Iva E. Snitker
WAUKON, Iowa -- Iva E. Snitker, 91, of Waukon, died Monday, Jan. 5, 1987, at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in Oakland Cemetery, both in Waukon. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin Funeral Home, Waukon.
Her husband, Henry, died June 23, 1959.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. H. (Marjorie) Ridgway of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Mrs. Leonard J. (Phyllis) Snitker of Rossville; a son, Reed of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Miles Ames of Castalia; and a sister, Mrs. Alice Dull of Monona.

Iva was born September 22, 1895 in Vernon County, Wisconsin to Absalom and Mary (Scheid) Ames. She attended local schools. She married Henry A. Snitker in Waukon, Iowa on February 23, 1916. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church and church groups.
Preceding her in death were her husband, and 10 brothers and sisters, Mae, Floyd, Charles, Veranus, Amos, Orrin, Austin, Tressa, Agnes, and Pleasey.
Casket bearers were Charles Moe, Glenn Krueger, Michael Snitker, Greg Snitker, Kris Krueger, and Jason Berg.
