Mrs. Warren's Rites Thursday
Had Served As Nurse in Many Homes Here in Years Gone By
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Warren, who died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Jeglum, were held at the Methodist church this Thursday, with Rev. W. Mitchell officiating. Burial was at Lansing. All the children were able to attend with the exception of one son, who is serving with the armed forces in China.Pall bearers were Valiere Dundee, Roy Bakkum, Chalmers Bray, Frank Teeling, Tjalmer Olson, Jake Kolowinski.

Mary Ann Sullivan was born March 5, 1874 in Monroe, Wisconsin, and had lived in Allamakee county for about 40 years. Her home was in Lansing until 1937 when she moved to Waukon. She was the daughter of Patrick and Bridget Sullivan. She was married November 5, 1895 to Thomas Atkin Warren at Janesville, Wis.Mrs. Warren was taken ill in January while visiting her daughter, Mrs. Fred Thornton of Waukegan, Ill., and was brought to the home of another daughter, Mrs. Roy Jeglum, in March. She passed away there Tuesday from the heart ailment with which she had been ill for seven months.
Mr. Warren passed away in 1939. Remaining are the following children: Mrs. H.J. Moe of Lansing, Mrs. Dan Shafer of Lake Forest, Illinois; Mrs. William Kinstler of La Crosse, Wisconsin; Mrs. LeRoy Jeglum of Waterville; Mrs. Fred Thronton of Waukegan, Illinois; Cpl. Thomas Warren , in service in China. A daughter Elizabeth died in 1928. There are 12 grandchildren, and remaining brothers and sister are Henry Sullivan of Argyle, John Sullivan of Evansville and Mrs. Pat Purcell of Argyle, Wisconsin. They attended the funeral, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hanson and Mrs. Irvin Witt of La Crosse (WI)
Mrs. Warren followed the profession of nursing for many years.
