Waukon, Ia. - Waukon relatives received word of the death of Samuel D. Briar, 75, which occurred at Sawyer, N.D.

Mr. Briar was born here June 3, 1869, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Briar. After completing his education he was engaged in business here, later moving to Sawyer where he was in the employ of the International Harvester Company.

He is survived by his widow, the former Blanche Rullison, of near Waukon, a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Streeper, of Sawyer; five brothers and two sisters. Elmer Briar, of Waukon, is a brother.
