Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for John Hanson, 68, lifelong resident of Makee Township, who died Saturday morning at the Decorah Hospital, where he had been a patient for several days after a long period of illness, will be held from the Bakke and Hanson Funeral Parlors Tuesday afternoon to St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. E.O. Baalsom, of Old West Paint Creek Church, will officate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
He was born on the Hanson homestead in Makee Township on March 13, 1876, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hanson. He was engaged in farming all his life.
Surviving are two brothers, Gilman, of Waukon, and Albert, Makee Township, and two sisters, Mrs. Gilbert Smedsrud, Waukon, and Mrs. Nettie Bakkom, Foston, Minn.
