As Irene Tippery, daughter of the late David and Lavern Tippery, she was born in Houston County, Minn., May 29, 1866. In the year 1888 she was married to John Myers, establishing their home in Houston County.

Mrs. Myers came to New Albin 5 years ago which has since been her home. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lysander (Clara) Darling and Mrs. Henry (Ella) Zarwell, both of New Albin; one brother, William Tippery, Prairie du Chien, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Shaw of Waterloo, Ia., and Mrs. Chauncy May, of New Albin; also 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Deceased was a member of the M.E. Church and the WSCS. She was a charitable, kind and loving neighbor and friend, whose span of years was devoted to rendering unselfish service to family and friends, and whose memory will be ever cherished by a wide acquaintanceship.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) afternoon at 2 o'clock at the M.E. Church with the Rev. Calvin Willemssen of Lansing officiating, with burial in the New Albin cemetery. Casket bearers were Otto Luettchens, Sr., Peter A. Whalen, Francis Morgan, Lawrence Bakewell, J.J. Higgins and Earl Welsh.

Mother, dear hands by labor bent,
Most of her humble life was spent,
Scattering sunshine for us all.
She could not stay to bless us more;
She had to follow God's commands;
But when we knock at Heaven's door,
It will be opened by Mother's bent hands.
