Lansing, Ia. - The Rev. Oscar Haugstul of Waterville will officiate Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the funeral services for John J. Johnson, 74, who died Sunday at his home, six miles west of here, following a long illness. Burial will be in Faegre Prairie Cemetery.

Lansing, Ia. - The funeral of John J. Johnson, 73, will be held at home Wednesday afternoon, in charge of the Rev. Oscar Haugstul of Waterville. Mr. Johnson died Sunday following a long illness.
He was born in Norway Oct 2, 1866 and when 17 years old came to America, directly to Allamakee County. He was married to Marie Berg on March 7, 1897. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson lived for two years in the Dakotas following their marriage, returning to this vicinity where he since farmed. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Norwegian Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Iesli, Mrs. Armanda Fritz, Mrs. Berger Olson, and Mrs. Paul Gilbertson; five sons, Marcus, Leonard, Norris, Selmer and Hjalmer; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild, all of Lansing; a brother and sister in Norway, and a brother Johanas, of Gatzke, Minn. Burial will be in Faegre Prairie Cemetery.
