Miss Patricia Cavin, a former New Albin girl, passed away at the Caledonia hospital, Monday evening (22 Feb. 1943) from a heart ailment complicated by an attack of influenza. She was born Sept. 10, 1924, at Minneapolis, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cavin.
When a small girl she moved with her parents to New Albin ad lived here until about two years ago when they moved to Caledonia. She graduated with the class of 1942 from Loretto High School there. Before her death she had been employed at the Caledonia hospital.
She is survived by her parents, four sisters, Marjorie, Donna, Marietta and Carol. One sister, Ila Jean, preceded her in death. Her father left Caledonia about two weeks ago for Juneau, Alaska, to be employed on a defense project.
Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock, Thursday morning at St. John the Baptist Church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery at Caledonia.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Smerud and daughter, Miss Rita, and Mrs. Hiller Metzdorf of this place attended the funeral.
