Lansing, Ia. - Louis Drake, 69, lifelong resident of Allamakee County, was found dead in bed at his farm home in Center Township Tuesday morning, the victim of a heart attack. A physician who was called said the victim had been dead several hours before he was discovered. He had previously been in good health.

He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Drake and was born March 9, 1871 on the same farm where his death occurred. He was married April 26, 1904 to Grace Phipps.

Mr. Drake had served as township clerk and a school director for several years.

Survivors are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Magnusson of Bettendorf and Marion at home; one son, John, also at home; three grandchildren; and a brother, Charles of Coffeyville, Kan. A sister and a brother preceded him in death.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
