Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Simon F. Hansmeier, 71, lifelong resident of this vicinity, will be held here Saturday afternoon at Zion Reformed Church with the Rev. Frank Stucki, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be: August Stock, Horace Howe, John Sieg, Hjalmar Larson, Chris Megorden, and Theodore Rumph.
Mr. Hansmeier died Wednesday at the Waukon Hospital where he had been a patient for several days.
He was born in Lippe-Wetmold, Germany on Sept. 26, 1868, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hansmeier. When a baby, he came to Allamakee County with his parents, the family settling on a farm in Makee Township where he since made his home. He never married.
Surviving are a brother, Charles, with whom he made his home; three sisters, Mrs. August Sunderman and Mrs. Charles Stock, both living east of here, and Mrs. Otto Martin of Waukon. Two brothers preceded him in death.
