Elgin Echo, Thursday, 11 September 1902.
Miss Ethel Savoie, of Waukon, was poisoned a few days ago and died from the result of taking free samples of Dr. Miles' Pain Pills, it is believed. Her parents were absent from home, and she took the same to relieve a severe headache and was thrown into convulsions, afterwards falling into a stupor from which she did not recover.
