Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Carl Westby, 59, formerly of Waukon, who died Saturday at his home in Mason City, Ia., after a several months' illness, were held from the Bakke and Hanson funeral home here to St. John's church Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. P.F. Kjorlaug officiated. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Mr. Westby was born in Waukon on Feb. 19, 1886, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Westby, and for several years was in the grocery store business here with his father. About 18 years ago the family moved to Mason City.

He is survived by his wife, the former Grace Steele, who was of Waukon; three daughters, Mrs. Theodore Waller, Gilmore City, Ia., Mrs. Edward True, Mason City, and Mrs. George Reddington, Hutchinson, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Grant Jacobson, Waukon and Miss Mary Westby, teacher in the Cresco, Ia. schools for a number of years; two brothers, Joseph Westby, Waukon and Albert Westby, Waterloo, Ia.; and 11 grandchildren.
