Mrs. Wm. McWilliams passes Wednesday morning after lingering illness. She passed away this morning at the Bakkum Clinic after an illness of several months.
Mrs. McWilliams, who was born Delila Edith Stevens before her marriage was born 62 years ago, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Stevens. She received her education in the rural schools of this county. In 1897 she was married to William McWilliams in Waukon. One daughter was born to this union. In her spare time Mrs. McWilliams served as a practical nurse. She was a member of the First Baptist of Waukon.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband and daughter, Mrs. G. A. De Graw of Mason City, also a foster daughter, Miss Irene McWilliams of Waukon.
Four brothers and one sister also survive, J. F. Stevens and John E. Stevens of Waterloo, Perry D. Stevens of Minneapolis, Daniel A. Stevens of West Allis, Wisconsin and Mrs. Oliver Stockton of Waukon.
Funeral services will be held from home Friday, followed by services at Waukon Baptist church, with internment in Oakland cemetery. The Reverend Gordon Smith will officiate.
