Donald Hanson
Funeral services for Donald Hanson were held Friday, October 20, 1989 at 11:00 a.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. The Rev. Terrance Hennesy of the Community Presbyterian church officiated. The organist was Jan Schultz. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
Donald Dean Hanson, son of Dale J. and Sherry (Opat) Hanson, was born May 17, 1967 at Cresco, Iowa. He died Monday, October 16, 1989 in St. Francis Medical Center at LaCrosse, WI.
He attended school in Helena, Montana and LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He had worked in the Postville area at Iowa Turkey Products and as a farm laborer.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Magda (Larson) Hanson, and his maternal grandfather.
He is survived by a son, Jesse Dale Hanson of Elgin, his mother, Mrs. Derrell (Sherry) Olson of Helena, MT, his father, Dale Hanson, of Postville, three brothers, James, Scott and Richard Hanson, all of Helena, MT and his maternal grandmother, Elena Opat of Cresco, Iowa.
Casket bearers: Richard Hanson, James Hanson, Jim Brandt, Steve Fenske, Glen Little and Charles Thomas.
