Miss Ellen Isora Clark was born at Johnstown, Rock county, Wisconsin, Sept. 30, 1847, and departed this life on April 16, 1915, at her home in Postville, Iowa.

At the age of ten she came to Iowa with her parents, who settled on the old homestead just west of Castalia, where she lived until she was united in marriage to W. S. Webster on Jan. 1, 1874, at Postville, Iowa. Since that time she, with her husband, have lived continuously at Postville. Three children came to bless this happy union - one son, Roy, who preceded his mother to that home above at the early age of nine years; one daughter, Ruby, and one son, Arthur, who, with the husband and father, still survive her.

Of a family of ten children, three brothers and two sisters remain to mourn her loss - Wallace of Mason City; Mrs. (blurred, looks like Pennington) of Orange, N.J.; Roselle of Minneapolis, Minn.; Ashley, now living on the old homestead near Castalia; and Mrs. Pierce of Harlan.

She was ever a devoted wife and mother, beloved and honored by all who knew her, a faithful Christian lady, and always ready to assist a friend or neighbor in any and every way possible.

The funeral was held from the home last Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Mellott officiating. Interment in the Postville cemetery.
