Mary Ann Logan was born in Cleveland, Ohio, Sept. 6, 1836, and died near Postville, Iowa, Nov. 1, 1914, aged 79 years, 1 month and 26 days.

She was united in marriage with John Bray of Volney, Iowa, in 1865, and to this union were born six sons and three daughters, of which five sons survive- Victor of Volney, J. L. and W. E. of Postville, D. W. of Waukon and C. E. of Monroe, Iowa.

She united with the M.E. church in early womanhood and was steadfast in her belief until the last.

The funeral was held at No. 16 school house in Linton township, Allamakee county, Iowa, last Wednesday afternoon, Rev. W. R. Mellott of Postville officiating.
