Stella M. Uhl was born in Allamakee county, Iowa, June 8, 1879, where she lived until she passed from this life, May 10, 1914, at the age of 34 years, 11 months and 2 days.

She was married to Perry E. Cook, November 12, 1902. Beside her husband she leaves two little boys - Everett and Burr - also an aged mother, two sisters and three brothers, who deeply mourn her loss.

When but a girl she united with the United Brethren church at Forest Mills and since that time has tried to live a consistent Christian life.

Hers was a kind and affectionate nature, cheerful and conscientious in all things. She was respected by all and her loss will be felt by her many friends and neighbors.

The funeral was held from the Bethel U.B. church at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, Rev. W. H. Mellott of Postville officiating. Interment in the Minert cemetery.
