Horrible Death At Ion.

The sawmill at Ion was the scene of a sad tragedy Saturday when Douglas McNaughton, a young man about 24 years of age, met death by falling against the big saw. The men were working about the mill and young McNaughton noticing something intering with the saw near the floor, took a few steps, and tripping, fell headlong into the rapidly revolving blade. The saw tore thru the head, cutting the skull and continued its cruel path into the body, even tearing into the heart. Death was instantaneous.- Waukon Standard.
