Charles Henry Senholz

Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 at the Schutte Funeral Home for Charles Henry Senholz, who passed away June 1, at the Retirement Center in Decorah, where he had resided the past five years. The Rev. Lenwood Monte conducted the service.

Charles Henry Senholz, son of Carl and Barbara Senholz, was born in Grand Meadow Township, Clayton County on January 17, 1881. He was baptized by the Rev. J. Gass, April 17, 1881. The family lived in Postville for many years, his father having bought the former Van Hoser Hotel.

Mr. Senholz married the former Annie Heins December 5, 1929. To this union a son was born, August 1, 1931. Mrs. Senholz passed away February 14, 1956.

Mr. Senholz was a farm worker and painter in Postville for many years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church. He was preceded in death by his wife, 6 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son Charles.

Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
