Grant Bulman Dies in North Dakota
Area relatives received word last week that Grant Bulman, 67, of Mylo, ND was killed in a car accident Monday, Nov. 12.
He was born Aug. 1, 1912 at English Bench, a son of Ray and Cora Hahn Bulman of rural Dorchester. He moved with his parents to Leeds, ND at the age of two. He was educated in local schools and married Ruth Simonson in Agate, ND June 18, 1938. They farmed in Agate until 1945 when they moved to rural Mylo.
He was partially paralyzed in a fall in January, 1960 and retired from active farming. He then managed the Bisbee Community credit union.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. in the Bisbee Lutheran church.
He is survived by his wife; a son Douglas on the home farm; two daughters, Mrs. James (Colette) Gierszewski of Bisbee and Mrs. Robert (Pamela) Jemtrud of Agate; several grandchildren; two brothers, Ray of Minneapolis, MN and Arlys of Cando, ND; two sisters, Mrs. Selmer (Thelma) Westlind of Cando and Mrs. Pearlie (Carmeletta) Cartwright of Bisbee; many nieces, nephews and cousins from this area; and an uncle Roy Sires of Waukon.
