Henry Carl August Foels was born Nov. __, 18_0, in Marnitz, Germany, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs.____ Casten, northeast of Postville, on Oct. 22, 1907, aged 76 years, 10 months and 22 days. He was married in 185_ to __tha Louisa Schlichte, 2 sons and _ daughters being the result of this union. He came to America in 1874, settling near Postville, where he continued to reside until his death. He is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters, the wife and 3 daughters having preceded him to the grave. the funeral was held from the Lutheran church last Friday, Rev. R. Kuehne officiating. Interment in the Postville cemetery.
