Rites Held for Former Waukon Resident

Funeral services for Katherine T. Dohnalek, 58, of River Falls, Wis., formerly of Waukon, were held Monday, July 20, from St. Bridget’s Catholic church in River Falls. She died July 16 in River Falls, where they had made their home for the past 19 years.

She was born Dec. 9, 1922, in Waukon, the daughter of Fred and Celia Brady Tepesch, and she married Dr. Donald Dohnalek, who practiced in Waukon for a time. He survives, as do their children, Donna Marie, Patrice, Jonathan, James and Marianne.

Also surviving are nine brothers and sisters: Carl of Paola, Kansas, Thomas of Independence, Mo., Bill of Waukon, Mrs. Irvin (Stella) Huinker of Monona, Mrs. Howard (Janet) Lawson of Waukon, Mrs. Robert (Agnes) Kirkpatrick of Coralville, Mrs. Percy (Patricia) Wepler of Waterloo, Mrs. Roger (Dorothy) Wiltgen of Oelwein and Mrs. Leo (Bernadette) Lawlor of Ames. A sister, Sally, died in infancy.

Casket bearers were brothers and brothers-in-law, Carl, Tom and Bill Tepesch, Irvin Huinker, Howard Lawson, Robert Kirkpatrick and Leo Lawlor, and burial was in St. Bridget’s cemetery.
