Postville Review, Fri., 21 Dec. 1906.

By a Kansas City paper we learn of the death in that city on Dec. 11th of Bevel VanVelzer after a month's illness from nervous prostration. He lived in Kansas City about 35 years. He was born in Postville, Iowa, in 1858. When he first went to Kansas City he worked in the drug store of his uncle, T. H. Brougham, an ex-judge of the county court. He later bought the store and was in the drug store business at 14th and Penn streets 15 years. Later he engaged in the real estate business. He leaves a wife, a daughter and a son. He was buried Dec. 13th.
