It is with regret that we learn of the death of Dr. A. Altenkirch. It occurred at Independence last week Friday. The doctor was well known in Allamakee Co., having spent many years in the practice of his profession in the south part of the county. He resided in Postville several years, but removed to independence with his foster daughter and soninlaw, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Parker, last summer. He was a friend to everybody and during his prime had a good medical practice. We tender condolence to relatives and friends.
