Word just received here is to the effect that James McAdam passed away at his home in Chicago, June 1, though no further particulars are given. The body was taken to Hartford, Conn., for burial. In the long ago Mr. McAdam was a postville business man, being a junior member of the firm of Mott & McAdam, who conducted a hardware store on the location now occupied by the Farmers store. His wife was Alice Mott, a daughter of his partner, and a sister of Dr. John R. Mott, and numerous old friends in Postville will sincerely sympathize with her in her hour of sorrow.
