Mrs. Bechtel's Rites Were Sunday

Rev. Alvin Ebert officiated at Sunday afternoon funeral services for Mrs. Freemond Bechtel, 79, at Lansing Ridge Presbyterian church, with burial at the church cemetery. Martin's was in charge.

Pallbearers were Leonard Saewert, Herbert Zimmerman, Willard Sandry, Albert Fiet, Joe Hess and Henry Rissman.

Mrs. Bechtel died at her home Friday.

She leaves her husband and three children, Mrs. Esther Fish of Waukon, Elmer of Moline, Ill. and Mrs. Jeff (Edna) Mayes, of Burlington. There are 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also remaining are a sister and a brother, Mrs. Roy (Mary) Bechtel of Lansing and Paul Reutkemeier of Minneapolis.

Minnie Louise Reutkemeier, daughter of Fred and Louise (Wacker) Reutkemeier, was born May 16, 1889 in Ludlow township and had spent her life in Allamakee county. She was married to Arthur Bechtel, who died in 1921. Her marriage to Freemond Bechtel took place in 1922. Educated in the county schools, she was a member of the Presbyterian church.
