BOYNTON - At his home in Eldora, Iowa, 4 June, 1894, Square Wright Boynton, aged 44 years, 10 months and 23 days.

S. W. Boynton was born in Hatley, Stanstead Co., Province of Quebec, Canada. He, with his family, wife and two daughters, came to Postville in 1884, his father, mother and sister, Mrs. Carbee, all of whom survive him, following later. He resided here until the spring of 1893, when he removed to Eldora and with his son-in-law, Chas. Yonkers, engaged in the restaurant and bakery business, building up a good trade. His health had been impaired for some time before leaving here and it became necessary for him to quit his trade of painter and paper hanger, at which he was an expert.

During his residence here we were well acquainted and always found him the same genial, energetic, honorable man, and we do not know that he had an enemy in the world.
