Merlyn Bente

Merlyn Henry Bente, 73, of Rossville died Wed., March 29 in Waukon Veterans Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 20, 1904 at Mederville, the son of John and Lena (Possehl) Bente. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Mabel Weyant of Edgewood, also a niece, nephews and cousins; a brother Melvin preceded him death. He attended the local schools and he was a farmer.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Fri., March 31 in the Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Marlyn Hansing officiating. Burial was in the Elkader Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gilbert Eadie, Gary Barrett, John Beisker, Clifford Livingood, Kermit Klees, and Gilman Kolsrud.
