Services Held For Bente Child

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, for 2 year old Greg Morris Bente, who lost his life in a tragic accident Sunday evening, May 1, on his parents farm. The little lad ran in front of a tractor operated by his grandfather, Glenn F. Bente. The Rev. Norris Swenson officiated.

Born January 12, 1975 at Postville, he was the youngest son of Glen R. and Rita (Torkelson) Bente. He was baptized May 25, 1975 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Annette, and a brother, Richard, at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn F. Bente, Postville and Mr. and Mrs. Quentin Torkelson, Farmersburg; his great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Torkelson and Albert Doeppke, Farmersburg and Mrs. Alma Gunderson, Postville; 2 uncles, Roger of Farmersburg and Rodney of Ames.

Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
