Died - Jan. 16th, 1878, Mamie H. daughter of N. J. and L. H. Beedy, aged six years, nine months and twelve days.

We regret to learn of the death of little Mamie, a bright and pretty child, aged six years, nine months and twelve days, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N.J. Beedy, of Postville.

She died on the 16th inst., of diphtheria, that terrible scourge which has darkened so many homes at Postville.

Mamie was the darling pet of the household, and it is hard indeed for the afflicted parents to become reconciled to their loss.
