Postville Review, Fri., 22 Aug. 1913.
Elizabeth Murray was born May 1, 1855, in Pennsylvania. She joined the Methodist church when but twelve years of age. With her parents she came to Iowa and settled at Frankville about 33 years ago. Sometime later Miss Murray engaged in dressmaking in Postville. She became the wife of John Laughlin on April 1, 1886, and transferred her membership to the Congregational church in Postville. To Mr. and Mrs. Laughlin was born one son, Harold. Mrs. Laughlin was a loyal member of the W.C.T.U. About ten years ago the family sold their farm and moved to Postville, where they still reside surrounded by a host of freinds. Mrs. Laughlin had been a sufferer from a complication of afflictions for some years, until her savior, whom she trusted and loved, called to her eternal rest on August 16, 1913. A husband, a son, two brothers and three sisters and a large number of relatives survive Mrs Laughlin. To them a host of freinds extend their sympathies and condolences in this time of their bereavement.
The funeral was held from the home at two o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. F. Childress. Interment in the cemetery at Frankville.
