Services Held For A. Bertelson

Funeral services for Albert Bertelson were held Monday, April 19, 1982 at 1:30 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Postville. The Rev. Dennis E. Morey officiated. The Invocation and Lord's Prayer were given by Rev. Curtis Webster. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Albert Bertelson, son of Arnie and Mary (Hanson) Bertelson, was born July 31, 1895 at Parker, S. D. He died April 16, 1982 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.

On October 27, 1913 he was married to Minnie Marian Gunn at Parker, S. D. Bart was an employee for the Milwaukee Railroad for 55 years in Pukwana, S. D. in 1914, Milford, Iowa from 1914 to 1918, Kennebec, S. D. from 1918 to 1936, moving to the Ossian and Postville area in 1936 where he has lived the last few years.

On January 21, 1956 he was married to Myrtle (Bray) Burns.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Minnie, who died September 19, 1951, 2 sons and a daughter in infancy, and 2 brothers, Carl and Oscar.

Surviving are his wife Myrtle, a son, Robert Bertelson of Humboldt, S. D., a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Neva) Olson of Postville, a step-son, Robert Burns of Postville, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Nellie Hust of Westminster, Calif., Mrs. Ted (Clara) Tysdal of Parker, S. D., and Mrs. August (Ruth) Aschbrenner of Ft. Dodge, Iowa.

He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church.
