Enno Luebbers, 79, for twenty-three years a resident of this city, passed away last Thursday following a period of failing health and funeral services were held last Sunday afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig officiating, and interment was made in Postville cemetery.

Mr. Luebbers was born in Germany November 14, 1859, and came to this country in 1886. He was married at Garnavillo to Miss Maria Bugenhagen April 19, 1886.

For three years the family lived in Nebraska, returning to Iowa by covered wagon and locating on a farm near Luana where they lived for 27 years and then moved to Postville which has since been their home. They were privileged to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary in 1936.

To them were born nine children, of whom four sons and two daughters survive with the wife and mother. These children are: Carl Luebbers of Dubuque; Henry Luebbers of Farmersburg; William Luebbers of Luana; Harry Luebbers of Kenosha, Wis.; Mrs Charles Wegner, Postville, and Mrs. Roy Pixler, Luana. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
