Another of Postville's oldest and highly esteemed citizens died at her residence in this city, on Sunday last, of pneumonia. Her maiden name was Sarah Yates, and she was born at Manchester, England, April 1, 1819. She removed to Racine, Wis., in 1850, and in 1853 married and settled on a farm south of Postville. The death of her husband occurred nearly twenty-five years ago. Two daughters, Mrs. H. P. Dawes, residing in Missouri, and Miss Mary Lassey mourn the decease of a kind, dear mother. The funeral services were conducted at the Congregational church on Tuesday by Rev. C. A. Marshall, of McGregor, who for years had been a most intimate acquaintance of the deceased.
