Died.

Abel - At the residence of his daughter, in Cedar Rapids, on Tuesday morning, Alphis Abel, at the age of 81 years, of a complication of diseases. He leaves a wife and five children, two boys and three girls.

He came to Hardin in 1865, where he resided until he came to Postville. He left here three years ago to reside with his daughter in Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Abel was a good neighbor and friend, strictly honest and upright in all his dealings. He had many friends in Postville who mourn his death.

The funeral was held from the Congregational church at 2 o'clock Wednesday. Interment in the Postville cemetery.

Old neighbor and friend, the Review regretfully says farewell, and sympathizes with the aged wife and other relatives. Peace be with you.
