Kevin King, 30, of Luana, died Friday morning, July 4, 2003, at his home following a sudden illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at St. John Lutheran Church, Luana, with Rev. Christopher Staley officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, assisted with arrangements. Kevin August King was born December 28, 1972, in Waukon, to Arnold and Rachel (Milhan) King. He graduated from Waukon High School in 1992. Kevin worked for the Heidelberg Restaurant for the past couple of years. He also mowed lawns for people in Luana and trapped gophers for area farmers. He collected ceramic cats, enjoyed camping with friends and family, loved all animals, and loved to visit with his neighbors. Survivors include his parents, Arnold and Rachel (Milhan) King of Luana; seven brothers and sisters, Arnold (Sherry) King of West Union, Herman (Hilda) King of Marquette, Gary (Sheri) King of McGregor, Randy King of La Crosse, Wis., Lou Price of McGregor, Edna (Marty) Adam of Monona, and Linda (Scott) Brainard of Luana; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Herman and Minnie King, and maternal grandparents, Gus and Stella Milhan. Casketbearers were Tim Price, Jason King, Cody King, Eli Shaw, Brandon Looby, and Nate Ihde. Soloist was Jason King.
