It is with the most profound sorrow we announce to our readers the death of Elmer J. Schroeder of this city, having passed away at the Blessin hospital about ten o'clock last evening from a week's illness from appendicitis though all that medical skill and nursing could do for him was his con----ly from the time he was stricken until he entered into eternal rest. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis H. Schroeder of this city, and one of the finest and best young men this city ever produced, known and respected by all. He would have been 21 years old next week. He was Assistant Cashier of the Postville State Bank. The sympathy of all is with the grief-stricken parents. Obituary next week.

The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon, Nov.1st, 1:30 at the home and 2:00 o'clock at the Lutheran church.
