Lester Brainard Passes Away

Lester H. Brainard passed away November 28 at the University Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 57 years, 9 months and 26 days.

Lester, son of Rueben J. and Minnie L. (Schroeder) Brainard was born at Waterville, February 2, 1911. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Elmer and Leo. Survivors are James Brainard of Berkley, Michigan; Mabel Klepper of Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin; Lloyd of Darien, Wisconsin; Hazel Knapp of Sabula, Iowa, Carl of Volga and a number of nieces and nephews.

His body was willed to Medical Science at University Hospital, Iowa City.

Lester Brainard has a cemetery marker at the Minert cemetery, Post twp., Allamakee county. It is either a memorial marker or his remains were returned to the family for burial.
