Numerous Postville friends of Dr. Ross L. Finney of Minneapolis were sorrowed to read the following news dispatch concerning him in last Sunday's dailies:
"Minneapolis, Minn. (AP)-- Dr. Ross L. Finney, 59, former associate professor of sociology at the University of Minnesota, died in a hospital here on Saturday. He was born at Postville, Iowa. Dr. Finney was educated at Upper Iowa University, the University of Chicago and Boston University."
Deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Solon Finney and was born on a farm about two miles northwest of this city. He had achieved more than ordinary success in his life's work along religeous lines. He had been ill for more than a year as a result of a palalytic stroke. He is survived by his widow and three sons.
