The death of Philip McCormick of this place occurred on Friday evening Sept. 21st. He had been in failing health for some time so his death was not unexpected. He was an upright and honorable man and citizen well liked by all. Mr. Mc Cormick was a native of the county Tipperary, Ireland, and was 73 years of age. He is survived by a widow and six children, namely; Mrs. P. Britton, East Dubuque; Mrs. James Foley, Chicago; Mrs. Stanley Thompson, Leland, Ill; Mrs. A. C. Grimsgaard, Edward and Jerry of this place. The funeral was held Sunday, September 23rd, interment at Cherry Mound.
