Waukon, Iowa, newspaper, June 1918.

This Was Her Girlhood Home.

Kalispell, Mont., Daily Inter Lake:.

Mrs. Edwin Narum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Scott Bryson, was born December 23, 1885, in Paint Creek, Allamakee county, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood and after teaching school a few years she was united in marriage to Edwin Narum on October 3, 1906. They resided on a farm near Waterville, Iowa, until the spring of 1910, when they sold their farm there and moved to Flathead, where they have resided since.

Mrs. Narum's health began to fail soon after moving to Flathead. Her physician advised her to go to Denver, where she stayed for three years, making a hard fight against the dreaded disease, but not recovering her health, and not wishing to be separated from her family so long, she came back. She died June 16, 1918, after a lingering illness of more than five years. She was 32 years, five months and 17 days of age.

She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and four children, Kartha Salom(?), age 11 years; Edwin Raymond, age 9 years; Thyra Jessamine, aged (?) years, and Robert Bryson, aged 15 months; also her aged mother, Mrs. Tilda Bryson of Waterville, Iowa, three sisters, Mrs. E.G. Bjorneby and Mrs. John Martinson of Kalispell, and Mrs. G. P. Pederson of Waterville, and a brother, James of Waukon, Iowa.

Mrs. Narum was of a cheerful and loving disposition and bore her sufferings with the patience of a true Christian. She will be greatly missed by all who khew her.
