J. L. Bryson's Rites Saturday

James Lincoln Bryson, who had been in poor health for some time, died Wednesday at the local hospital where he had been a patient for one day. He was 88 years old at the time of his death, and had been a resident of Waukon since 1916.

Mr. Bryson's funeral will be held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon from Martin's funeral home and at 2 from Presbyterian church with the Rev. Mr. Henry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery, with Masonic rites at the graveside.

Pallbearers will be Theodore Smeby, Leonard Rema, Len Amundson, Ben Klocke, Ed Helming and Roy Walters.

Mr. Bryson was born in Waterville March 11, 1868, son of John S. and Tilda Rema Bryson. His home was in Waterville and Waukon areas all his life. His wife, the former Mary Mickleson, remains, and there is one daughter, Mrs Glenn Hagen of Waterville. There are three grandchildren. Living sisters are Mrs. E. G. Bjorneby of Kalispell, Montana, and Mrs. Ida Peterson.

Mr. Bryson, who had been a farmer and carpenter, was educated in the local schools and at Breckinridge school, Decorah. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Masonic lodge and the consistory.
