The funeral sermon over the remains of Mrs. John Noll, on Sunday, was preached by Rev. Urbach of Dubuque at 2:00 p.m. at the German Presbyterian church of which deceased was a consistent member. The attendance was quite large, among those from abroad being two brothers who are ministers and a sister, Mrs. Wackerbarth of Independence. Louisa Walters was born in Sheboygan county, Wis., Nov. 17, 1862, and when six years of age came with her parents to this county, locating in Union Prairie twp., her parents afterwards removing to Waukon. As stated in these columns last week she was married to Mr. Noll in 1892, and to them five children were born, the youngest being a babe of three weeks. She was a kind and devoted wife and mother, one whose Christian character was manifest in deeds rather than words. Much sympathy is felt for the sadly afflicted family.
