Norway-born Woman Settled here in 1903

Village Creek- Funeral services for Mrs. Peder Jensen, 77, of this community were held Sunday afternoon from the Burke Funeral chapel in Lansing. The Rev. T.A. Hoff officiated.

Mrs. Jensen, born October 26, 1870, in Trondheim, Norway, passed away last Thursday evening following an illness of several months. Her maiden name was Julia Edwards.

Deceased married Peder Jensen on February 14, 1897 in Norway, where three children, Anna, Jens and Isabell were born to them. She came with her family to America, August 17, 1903, and lived in this vicinity since that time. Additional children were born to them in this country.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Anna Kessel of Waukon and Isabelle Gilgenbach of Marquette; three sons, Jens of McGregor, Leif of Waterville and Phillip of Lansing.
