Norbert "Norm" Hermanson, 59, of Silverdale died June 25, 2001, at Harborview Medical Center. He was born Dec. 10, 1941, in Waukon, Iowa, to Roy and Bernice Hermanson.
He served in the Navy from 1959 to 1963.
He married Mattie Lorene Clement on July 19, 1963, in Las Vegas. He was a superintendent for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 14 years. He later was a division manager for Johnson Controls for six years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a member of the Masons. He was a Protestant.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Huran, S.D.; a son, Norbert of Kent; two daughters, Norene Hermanson of Bremerton and Jennifer Moore Hermanson of Kent; four brothers, Al, Jim, Earl and his twin, Herbert; a sister, Janice Dosch; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Haven of Rest Funeral Home in Gig Harbor. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday following by a graveside service, also at Haven of Rest.
