James Clarity, 76, a lifelong resident of this community, passed away Monday evening in Waukon. Mr. Clarity had been in ill health for several years and for the last four years had lived at the Postville hospital. On April 18 he was taken to a private home in Waukon where he spent the remaining days of his life.
James Clarity was born March 2, 1864, at Frankville and with the exception of the years he lived in Postvile, he spent most of his life in the Frankville community. He lived on his farm, two miles southeast of Frankville. Mr. Clarity's parents passed away about 40 years ago. He is survived by one brother, Judge Anthony Clarity, of Freeport, Ill., one brother-in-law, John Lydon, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 9:00 this morning at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Waukon. Burial was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
