Mrs. Robert Flack Passes Sunday After Eight Day Illnes Of Influenza
Mrs. Robert Flack passed away early Sunday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sidney Hawkins of Waterville. She had been ill only eight days with influenza and pneumonia, and was taken to the home of her daughter for care.
Eunice May Flack, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jenkins, was born in Linton township on March 31, 1870. She received her education in the rural schools of that township. On July 15, 1896, she married Robert Flack. They settled down to home life on a farm in Linton township, and have lived in and around Waterville all of their lives. To this union were born four daughters and two sons, one of whom passed away in infancy.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Robert Flack, four daughters, Mrs. John (Lulu) Arnold of Arlington, Mrs. Sidney (Jessie) Hawkins and Mrs. Ora (Gladys)Davis, both of Waterville, Mrs. Sigvart (Orpha) Ellefson of Lansing, and one son, Harold Flack of Postville.
She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, two brothers, Amos of Wyoming and Lou of Independence, and two sisters, Mrs. Wilkins of Wyoming and Mabel of Independence.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church at Rossville, conducted by the Reverend R. L. Van Nice, with burial in the Sencebaugh cemetery. (Maple Hill)
