A mass of Christian burial for John William Reburn, age 90, of New Albin, Iowa were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Albin. The Rev. John Moser officiated at the service. Interment was at the St. Joseph Cemetery in New Albin, Iowa.

John William Reburn, son of Edward and Stacia (Connor) Reburn, was born September 16, 1921 at New Albin, Iowa. He was a 1940 graduate of New Albin High School. On June 2, 1953 John married Lois Welper at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. They had four children. John farmed his entire life near New Albin and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Albin.

John William Reburn died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Thornton Manor in Lansing, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lois, who died February 19, 2003.

John is survived by his 4 children, Debra (Michael) Chiantello of Delafield, Wisconsin, Mike (Joan) Reburn of New Albin, Iowa, Kim (Andy) Esser of LaCrescent, Minnesota, and Tom (Lynn) Reburn of New Albin, Iowa; 10 grandchildren, Tony Chiantello, Dominic Chiantello, Ben Reburn, Heidi Reburn, John Reburn, Shelly Esser, Andy Esser, Jessica (Peter) Wiese, Dan Reburn, and Jake Reburn, and 2 great-grandchildren, Kalea and Zoe; 1 brother, Joseph Reburn of New Albin, Iowa, and 1 sister, Margaret Weymiller of McGregor, Iowa.
