Lillian Sweeney, age 97, of Point Brittany, St. Petersburg, Florida, died Monday, April 15, 1991 at Whitehall Nursing Home. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa.

Lillian was born in Chicago, Illinois. She was a member of the Blessed Catholic Church, honorary member of Olympia Fields Country Club in Illinois, and past president of Lambda Tau Delta National Sorority.

Lillian was preceded in death by John Patrick Sweeney.

She is survived by a step-daughter, Genevieve Joy Bogert of Kissimmee, Florida; 3 grandsons, and 5 great-grandchildren.

NOTE OF THE TRANSCRIBER: The obituary stated that she was preceded in death by John Patrick Sweeney, but it does not specifically state that he was her husband. I did find John Patrick Sweeney in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. He was born March 23, 1895 and he died August 24, 1981. He was a World War I Veteran. Lillian F. Sweeney is also listed in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery with a birth date of January 8, 1894.
