Funeral services for Inga Jo (Lund) Olson, age 89, of Austin, Minnesota were held February 25, at the Crane Community Chapel in Austin, Minnesota.

Inga Josephine, daughter of Jens and Ida (Johnson) Lund, was born October 17, 1912 in rural Waterville, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at the Waterville Lutheran Church and attended Waterville, Iowa school. At a young age, she moved with her parents to Austin, Minnesota. She lived the rest of her life there and became the mother of three sons. * The obituary did not list the name of her husband, his death, or their marriage date. * Inga held various jobs and became proficient in knitting. She taught knitting classes for many years. Afghans were her favorite knitting projects and she completed many beautiful afghans, which she lovingly gave as gifts to her family, extended family members, and friends. She was buried with her last afghan, completed a short time before her death.

Inga Josephine Olson died February 20, 2002 at her son's home following a short illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Matthias Lund.

Inga is survived by her 3 sons, Kenneth (Marilyn) Olson of Des Moines, Iowa, Roger (Patricia) Olson of Austin, Minnesota, and Dale (Paulette) Olson of Elgin, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and her sister and brother-in-law, Alphia and Gilman Kolsrud of Waukon, Iowa.
