Funeral services for former Allamakee County resident, Harriet M. Livingston, age 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa were held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 21 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Conducting the services were the Rev. John McTarsney of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Harpers Ferry, Iowa with Stewart's Funeral Home of Cedar Rapids, Iowa in charge of arrangements.

Harriet, daughter of William and Agnes (Orr) Kelly, was born February 28, 1914 in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Her father died on September 12, 1930. After his death her mother married Frank Kinley. Harriet married Lawrence Livingston. They farmed near Rossville, Iowa until Lawrence's unexpected death * His date of death was not given but in the late 50's or early 1960's.* Harriet sold the farm and moved to Marion, Iowa where she owned and operated a Day Care Center in her home for many years.

Harriet M. Livingston died Tuesday, September 18, 1990 at the home of her son, Keith Livingston in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In addition to her husband, Harriet was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father; her 3 brothers, William M. Kelly, John Francis Kelly, Raymond Kelly, and her 2 half brothers, James Joseph Kinley, and Donald Patrick Kinley.

She is survived by her 3 sons, James "Jim" Livingston of Palo, Iowa, John "Jack" Livingston of Fairfax, Iowa, and Keith Livingston of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a daughter, Marian Scheffert of North Liberty, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; 2 sisters, Hazel Olson of Lansing, Iowa and Theresa Mielke of Monona, Iowa, and her half-sister, Rosie McGeough of Harpers Ferry, Iowa; and two half brothers, Adrian Kinley of Waterloo, Iowa and Daniel Kinley of Marquette, Iowa.

NOTE: Harriet's mother, Agnes Orr, was born December 10, 1896 in Fairview Township at Cherry Mound in Allamakee County to Clarence and Mary A.(Walsh)Orr. Agnes (Orr) Kelly Kinley died July 26, 1958.
